Publication lists

Step-by-step instructions for two alternatives

Alternative 1

1. to be able to include publication lists, your Citavi bibliography must be in the .xml file format. If you have not yet converted it, you can do so at https://www.rhrk.uni-kl.de/webtools/converttomods/index.php.

2. you can now upload the publication list via the file list. The file can be located on any server. Please note that the file must not be larger than 10MB.

3. so that the bibliography can now be inserted on your website, you must link it to the storage location of the previously uploaded .xml file. To do this, you need to know the path of the storage location.

How do I find out which path a file has?

The path is basically composed as follows: Storage/folder/filename

In this case: fileadmin/fssowila/Publication lists/Publication list.xml

4. you can find the information on storage, folder and file name in the information for your file. The domain is the name of your installation.

5. now create a text element on the target page. Then click on "XLST".

6. the XSLT settings window should now open. Enter the path of your XML file in the upper field and "citavi-mods" in the lower field.

7. the result should now look like this.

8. you can use the "Source code function" for further options.

9 You can now customize your publication list by entering the corresponding tags.

With author_given="first name" and author_family="last name", for example, you can only display publications by a specific person.

10. sort="Criterion" can be used to sort the reference list. You can define the sorting criterion yourself. For example, by year (year), year descending (yearRev), title (title) or author (author).

Below you will find a list of other possible tags and their effects.
