Mount Network Drive under Windows

You can access any network drive you have permissions for either on campus or remotely from home.
The following instructions explain how to mount a network drive under Windows.

Prerequisites

  • To access the network drive from home, a VPN connection is required.
  • You need access rights to the network folder that is to be integrated as a network drive.

Windows Explorer

First, open your Windows Explorer by entering "Explorer" in the search bar and clicking on the result shown in the following picture.

Connect network drive

In Windows Explorer, right-click on "Network" and select "Map network drive...".

Enter the network path of the network drive you wish to connect to.

Login

Enter your RPTU account name (either "uni-kl\accountname", "accountname@uni-kl.de" or accountname@rptu.de) and your RPTU password in the login screen. Check the "Remember my credentials" box.
