Windows update server

• Updates are downloaded once and made available centrally throughout the university in the local network
• Clients thus receive a higher bandwidth than from the Microsoft servers
• No information is sent to Microsoft servers when updating via the WSUS

The server provides updates for the following Microsoft products:

Microsoft Windows Client versions (DE/EN)

To determine the necessary updates on the client, the version of Windows and other components is sent to the WSUS server. No data such as user name, password or similar content is transmitted at any time.
