High-performance computer "Elwetritsch"
The RHRZ operates the "Elwetritsch" cluster.
The cluster bundles the resources available at RPTU for high-performance computing as part of the Alliance for High-Performance Computing Rhineland-Palatinate (AHRP).
All members of RPTU and the AHRP can access the cluster. The RHRZ also offers members of TU Kaiserslautern the opportunity to connect their own hardware to the cluster and benefit from its batch system and central management (installation, maintenance, data backup).

Membership in HPC networks
AHRP - Alliance for High Performance Computing Rhineland-Palatinate
The AHRP is a joint institution of Mainz University and at RPTU.
Its aim is to coordinate the activities of the two universities in the field of high-performance computing (HPC) and to provide long-term HPC capacities for scientists in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Gauss - Alliance
The Gauß-Allianz is a non-profit organization that promotes science and research in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC). The focus here is on research and development that is intended to contribute to improving and simplifying the efficiency, applicability and usability of high performance and supercomputing. In this way, it supports the scientific community in Germany.
RPTU is a member of the Science and Innovation Alliance Kaiserslautern, which is the leading network for digital transformation, future innovations and interdisciplinary cutting-edge research. The Science Alliance Kaiserslautern is scientifically represented in the Gauss Alliance by the Regional University Computing Center Kaiserslautern (RHRZ) and the Fraunhofer ITWM, as the HPC systems and methodological HPC know-how are located at both institutions. The RHRZ operates the high-performance computer Elwetritsch; the Fraunhofer ITWM operates three parallel computers at its Competence Center High Performance Computing (CC-HPC).
