Mount Network Drive under macOS

You can access any network drive you have permissions for either on campus or remotely from home.
The following instructions explain how to mount a network drive under macOS.

Prerequisites

  • To access the network drive from home, a VPN connection is required.
  • You need access rights to the network folder that is to be integrated as a network drive.

Connect to server

Press „Command ⌘ + K“ to establish a connection to the server. Enter a network path like „smb://files.rptu.de…“ and click „Connect“.

Enter your RPTU account name followed by "@rptu.de" (e.g. mus77ter@rptu.de) and your RPTU password and check the „Remember this password in my keychain“ box.

Mount DFS

Finally select „DFS“ as volume you want to mount and confirm with „OK“.
