Would you know which of our Typo3 installations your website belongs to?

Unlike many other universities, we have many installations of Typo3. For example, we have a separate installation for each faculty, but also for a few central facilities or a mixture of sites. On the one hand, this has grown, but we also see many advantages in the large number of installations:

• New features can be tested on a smaller scale and, if successful, distributed to everyone.
• Relaunches or upgrades that require extensive editorial work can be completed more quickly because a smaller group of editors has to be coordinated.
• If things break and websites go down, this usually only affects a fraction of our websites

When we communicate with you as editors, we always use abbreviations for the respective installations. And while this is often clear for the faculties, the editors of the main installation or our mixed installations often don't know where they belong. But it's actually quite simple:

You can see the abbreviation of your Typo3 installation at the top left of the backend when you are logged in.
