Typo3 backend: Click sequence for restoring content

If a page or a content element is deleted in the backend, it is initially only marked and disappears from your view. The content is only finally deleted after 15 days in an automatic process. *

Until then, you can also restore the content. To do this, use the functions of the "Typo3 recycle bin" module on the left-hand side.

Step by step
  1. Click on the recycle bin icon in the module bar on the far left to open the Typo3 recycle bin module.
  2. In the page tree, click on the page below which you want to restore content.
  3. Select the search depth in the page tree from which the deleted content is to be restored. If you are unsure where the content you are looking for was stored, it is better to go up one level in the page tree and select an appropriate depth for the search depth.
  4. If necessary, restrict the type of data record. This is optional and may not be obvious. If you are unsure, select "all data record types".
  5. Find the data record to be restored in the list that is now displayed and place a tick in front of it.
  6. Click on "Restore data record". In the dialog box, please select "Restore recursively" if you want to be sure that all linked elements are also restored.

Your page or content will now be restored. Depending on the complexity of the restoration and the editorial work that has been carried out in the meantime, you may have to correct the order of pages or content manually.

* For some administrative work, we also have to delete the recycle bin earlier. In this case, the 15-day period may not be observed.
