Webhosting

Web hosting at RHRZ gives you full control over your website and leaves the maintenance largely to you. You have the choice between a web hosting package and your own VM web server .

There is also the option of content hosting with Typo3.

Attention!

If you only want to add content to your website in Typo3 without technical knowledge and leave the technical support toRHRZ, then you should switch to order content hosting.

Web hosting package

The web hosting package offers you sufficient performance for most applications and allows maximum design freedom for the website.

Which functionalities are included?

  • A subdomain under rptu.de (e.g. projectname.mv.rptu.de, see guidelines for domain allocation)
  • Webspace (currently not limited, approx. 2GB)
  • 1 MySQL database
  • SSH and SFTP access
  • PHP, Python

Who can order a web hosting package?

All cost centers at RPTU and all student associations are entitled to place an order.

VM web server

The VM web server is a so-called virtual machine, i.e. a "simulated" web server. This is set up by you and enables comprehensive control and customization.

The RHRZ cannot guarantee support.
