Configuration on Samsung devices after android-update on android 11

After updating from Android 10 to Android 11, the eduroam configuration that has already been set up no longer works on some Samsung devices. A new installation via the "eduroamCAT" app or manually using the method described on the website also fails.

First uninstall the "eduroamCAT" app if it is already on the device and delete all profiles with eduroam in the name (under "Settings -> WLAN Internet -> WLAN -> Saved WLANs").

Go to "Settings | Network & Internet". Make sure the WiFi adapter is enabled!

Go to "WLAN settings" and look for the network "eduroam".

If a selection window opens, click on "Forgot network" (The window appears if you have already tried to connect to the network).

Select TTLS as EAP method and PAP as phase 2 authentication. "Use system certificates" must be selected for CA certificate. In the "Anonymous Identity" field, enter wifi@uni-kl.de (not @rhrk.uni-kl.de!). In "Domain" please enter radius.rptu.de. Enter your RHRZ username followed by "@rhrk.uni-kl.de" in "Identity" and your RHRZ password under "Password".

If the "Use system certificates" option is not available on your device, please proceed as follows. Load the following root CA certificate onto your Android device and install it (please use Android's own browser for this). The open network "RPTU_guest" or any other internet connection can be used for this. IMPORTANT: Install the certificate for WLAN.
