Eduroam on Microsoft Windows

Configuration

The necessary steps for installing eduroam under Microsoft Windows are explained below. This description assumes that you use the regular Windows wireless network configuration to manage wireless LAN profiles.

To install eduroam on Windows, you need the appropriate installer for your operating system. Please download it from cat.eduroam.org.

Note: Guests must select the home institution's installer (if available, otherwise follow the home institution's instructions) and enter the home institution's username and password!

Run the installer (you don't need administrator rights to do this). Click on "Next" and confirm the pop-up message with "OK".

In the following window, please enter your RPTU account name followed by @rptu.de (e.g mus77ter@rptu.de) and your RPTU password and click on "Install". Do NOT use your mailalias (e.g max.mustermann@rptu.de).

The installation is now complete. Click "Finish".

Connect

You can now connect to the WiFi-Network eduroam.
