Integrate videos

First copy the URL of the video to the clipboard using Ctrl+C. Click on your file list and then on the "New" checkbox.

Note: The URL of the video must come from one of the sources mentioned above in order to be accepted. This means that the URL of the video begins with the URL of the video portal.

Now press Ctrl+V to insert the new media URL and confirm.

This will create an entry in your file list with an unfortunately very cryptic name that we cannot influence. We recommend that you create a corresponding folder structure in the file list for clarity.

Please also set the metadata for the video: Title, description, alternative text for accessibility.

Now create a new content element in the desired location.

Then select the sub-item "Text and media" under "Typical page content".

Now select the "Add media file" function under the "Media" tab.

You can now search your file collection for the saved URL and select it.

Once you have selected the video, you can now choose between "Do not use thumbnail", "Generate thumbnail automatically" and "Use own thumbnail".

If you have received permission from the author to embed the video, you can have the thumbnail generated automatically. If this is not the case, you must use your own thumbnail.
