Communigate mailbox under MacOS

The following step-by-step instructions will show you how to configure your Communigate mailbox on your Mac.

If you use a different operating system or have an Exchangemailbox, take a look at the available instructions for the Communigate account or the instructions for configuring an Exchange mailbox.

Prerequisites

  • You have a Communigate e-mail inbox.

Step 1: Open the Mail app

To start the setup for Communigate, open the Mail app.

Step 2: Choose your mail account provider

Select "Other mail account ..."from the list and then select "Continue".

Step 3: Add mail account

Now enter your first and last name, your e-mail address and the corresponding password and select "Log in".

Now complete the information as follows:

  • E-mail address: Your RPTU e-mail address (e.g.: rainer.zufall@rptu.de)
  • Username: Your RPTU e-mail address (e.g.: rainer.zufall@rptu.de)
  • Password: Your RPTU password
  • Account type: IMAP
  • Server for incoming e-mails: mail.rptu.de
  • Server for outgoing e-mails: smtp.rptu.de

Then select "Next".

Nowselect the apps that you want to use in conjunction with your e-mail address and confirm with "Done".

Your Communigate e-mail address is now set up and configured.
