About e-mail with Communigate
Each personal RPTU account is assigned a mailbox in Communigate when it is created.
E-mail in the Communigate mailbox can be read either in the web browser or in the e-mail client of your preferred device.
What your Communigate mailbox can do
- Send and receive e-mail
- Set up subfolders
- Set up rules that move emails to specific subfolders, for example
- Signatures
- calendars
- Tasks
- ...
Brief overview of settings
Incoming mail server: mail.rptu.de
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 993
Connection type: SSL/TLS
Username: <your RPTU email address> (e.g. rainer.zufall@rptu.de)
Password: <your RPTU password>
Outgoing mail server: smtp.rptu.de
Protocol: STARTTLS
Port: 587
Outgoing mail requires authentication: Same settings as incoming mail
Or for multiple email accounts and targeted sending via SMTP at RPTU:
Log in with: <your RPTU e-mail address> (e.g. rainer.zufall@rptu.de)
