E-mail redirection

If you want to redirect your emails to a private address, you must first log in to the email web app and then click on Mail Control at the top left. The icon is located to the right of the small toolbox.

You can set the redirection under Mail Redirection.

Here is an explanation of all the options:

  • Enable: This option must be checked for redirection to be active. You can therefore set the redirection and switch it on or off at any time.
  • Redirect All Mail to: Your private e-mail address must be entered in this field. However, you can also enter several e-mail addresses. These must then always be on a single line.
  • Preserve To/Cc fields: When redirecting, the CC field is normally "emptied". You can change this with this option. It is recommended to check this box.
  • Do not Redirect Automatic Messages: If you do not want automatically generated e-mails to be redirected, such as out-of-office notifications, you must check this option.
  • Keep a Copy: As emails are sent to the private address when redirected and no local copy is kept, this option is available. If you want a copy to also exist on your RPTU account, you must check this box. It is recommended that you check this box.

Important: When you have finished configuring everything, you must press the green button at the top left.

Out-of-office assistant

You can also configure the Out of Office Assistant in Mail Control.

As with e-mail forwarding, the out-of-office assistant can be switched on and off. You can set an end date for the absence and enter an automatic e-mail reply. At the end of the absence, you should not forget to switch the assistant off again. You should also press the Clear 'Replied Addresses' list button before and after each absence phase to be on the safe side.

Important: You should also press the green Save button in the top left-hand corner at the end.

Filter configuration

The e-mail web app also has a filter function. This allows you to move incoming emails directly to a selected folder or delete unwanted emails directly. You can do a lot with filters. However, the options should be used with care, as all filter rules are executed automatically without prompting.
