Communigate mailbox under iOS

The following step-by-step guide will show you how to configure your Communigate mailbox on iOS.

If you use a different operating system or have an Exchangemailbox, take a look at the available instructions for the Communigate account or the instructions for configuring an Exchange mailbox.

Prerequisites

  • You have a Communigate e-mail inbox.

Step 1: Add account

Go to "Settings" on your device and select "Mail".

Then select "Accounts".

Then select "Add account".

And finally, select "Other".

In the "Mail" section, select "Add mail account".

Step 2: Configure account

Enter your first and last name, your e-mail address and your password here. For example, you can choose "rptu.de" as the description.

After entering, select "Next" at the top right.

Now complete the information as follows:

SERVER FOR INCOMING E-MAILS
Hostname: mail.rptu.de
Username: Your RPTU e-mail address (e.g.: rainer.zufall@rptu.de)
Password: Your RPTU password

SERVER FOR OUTGOING E-MAILS
Hostname: smtp.rptu.de
Username: Your RPTU e-mail address (e.g.: rainer.zufall@rptu.de)
Password: Your RPTU password

 

Then select "Next" in the top right-hand corner.

Now add the apps you want to use with your e-mail address and finally select "Save" in the top right-hand corner.

Your Communigate e-mail address is now set up and configured.
