The RHRZ offers a remote maintenance service via the RustDesk software for support with technical problems. This allows staff at the RZ Service Center to temporarily access your device with your express consent in order to help with troubleshooting or configuration.

RustDesk is a remote support software that makes it possible to view your screen and - if necessary - temporarily take control of it. This is only done with your active consent. This allows us to solve problems together, clarify questions or check settings without you having to take your device anywhere.

What you should know:

  • You remain in control at all times.
  • Nothing happens without your consent.
  • You can terminate the connection at any time.

Important note on safety

Please always check who is requesting remote maintenance before you allow a connection.

  • Only agree to remote maintenance if you have requested it yourself from IT Support.
  • Before approving, check who is setting up the connection and ask for the name of the person responsible.
  • End the session immediately if the access seems unclear or suspicious .
  • If you are unsure, it is better to abort the session and contact the RZ Service Center.

Note Linux:
The RHRZ remote maintenance tool is provided for Linux as an AppImage. These packages can be executed directly under most distributions; depending on the security model, they must first be made executable. libfuse2 is required for execution. If the program does not start, install the dependency according to the documentation of your distribution.

If you need help, please first contact our team via the official support channels (e.g. ticket system, telephone, RZ Service Center). They will provide you with all further information - including an access code or ID for remote maintenance with RustDesk.

Note Central administration

In central administration, RustDesk is installedcentrally on your end device via the data center's client management system (RHRZ). A new installation is therefore not possible! If you need help, please first contact the official support channels (e.g. ticket system, telephone, RZ Service Center) or your respective account manager.
