Alternative 1: Integrating the account via the Control Panel

1.1 If Outlook is still open, please close the application first.

1.2 Click on the start menu.

1.3 Then start typing Control Panel using the keyboard and select the desktop app Control Panel as soon as it is displayed.

1.4 Customize the display of the Control Panel by selecting Small icons.

1.5 Open E-Mail (or Mail) in the Control Panel with one click.

1.6 In the Mail Setup - Outlook window, click on the E-mail accounts... button.

1.7 In the account settings, click on New... to add a new account.

1.8 Everything should already be entered in the window, if not, try the instructions'Outlook 2016 without domain'. Click on Next.

If you have already integrated an Exchange address in Outlook and would like to add an RPTU functional account, for example, an empty input mask will appear.

Enter the name, the e-mail address using the pattern accountname@rptu.de (e.g. mus77ter@rptu.de) and the password of the RPTU functional account.

1.9 If all entries were correct, you will receive the message Congratulations! The e-mail account has been successfully configured and can now be used.

Deselect the checkbox "Also set up Outlook Mobile on my phone" and confirm with Finish.

1.10. Activate the Change account settings checkbox and click Next.

1.11. Under Offline settings , activate the Use Exchange cache mode checkbox and set the time period using the slider. This allows you to work with your Outlook mailbox even without an active Internet or network connection. Click Finish to apply the settings.

Note: Exchange cache mode cannot be activated on the terminal servers.

Alternative 2: Mounting the mailbox via Outlook

2.1 Starting Outlook for the first time or via File -> Add account in Outlook.

2.2 Change the suggested e-mail address to accountname@rptu.de (e.g. mus77ter@rptu.de) and check the box "I would like to set up my account manually".

2.3 Select "Exchange".

2.4 You can select the period for which Outlook should synchronize a local copy of the emails. The emails are then also available without a connection to the Exchange Server. Confirm with "Next".

Note: Exchange cache mode cannot be activated on the terminal servers.

2.5 Uncheck the "Also set up Outlook Mobile on my phone" checkbox and finish the setup by clicking "Process complete".
