Rangee - Advanced settings

In some cases, it is useful or necessary to make further settings on your Rangee PC.

This depends, among other things, on the connected devices, such as webcam, headset or smartcard reader.

You can also set the keyboard layout or the mouse button assignment.

These settings should only be made by experienced users!
If in doubt, contact your IT support team.

As the configuration options are very extensive and depend heavily on the connected devices, these instructions should only be seen as a guide.

Apply settings permanently

Your Rangee PC is supplied with default values for various settings by the central management server (TCMS) each time it is restarted.

In order to permanently adapt individual settings to your personal requirements, please ensure that you activate"Do not apply TCMS settings"in each configuration area before clicking on "Apply".

Otherwise, the default settings from the management server will be used again after each restart!

Advanced settings via the Kommbox

To make advanced settings, start the Kommbox program. To do this, open the Rangee start menu via the Rangee logo in the bottom left-hand corner and select "System" and then "Kommbox".

The comm box of your Rangee PC opens. You will see the overview.
(Logging in is not required.)

Under"Connections" you will find the configuration for screen, keyboard, mouse and audio, under"Peripherals" the configuration for smartcard reader and webcam.

You can return to the overview at any time from the various configuration areas via the house symbol in the top left-hand corner.
Once you have made and accepted the desired settings, you can simply close the Commbox window with the x in the top right-hand corner.
