Rangee - Remote maintenance (RustDesk)

The RHRZ offers a remote maintenance service via the RustDesk software for support with technical problems. This allows staff at the RZ Service Center to temporarily access your device with your express consent in order to help with troubleshooting or configuration.

To ensure that you do not inadvertently give unauthorized persons access to your system, please observe the security instructions at https://rz.rptu.de/support/fernwartung!

Open the RustDesk application window via the Start menu.
If you do not see the Rangee logo in the bottom left corner, first switch off full screen mode with the key combination <Ctrl><Alt><Enter >. (see General operation - Switching full screen mode)

You can now see the RustDesk ID under "Your desktop" under which your workstation can be reached. Give this number to the person who is providing you with support.

It will then send you a request for a remote maintenance session.

To accept the request and grant access to your device, click on "Accept" in the request pop-up at the bottom left.
