Rangee - Commissioning

The first steps for commissioning your Rangee client are described below.

Please also refer to the other instructions and information that we have compiled for you on the Rangee main page.

Location

Ensure that your appliance is set up in a safe place. To ensure sufficient cooling, it must not be exposed to direct sunlight and must always remain free-standing.

Connect

To commission your Rangee client, connect monitors, keyboard, mouse and, if necessary, the webcam to the Rangee client.

If the network connection is to be made via LAN, also establish the connection to a LAN socket or your router using a LAN network cable.

To use a network connection via WLAN, mount the enclosed WLAN antennas on the back of your Rangee client.

Finally, connect the Rangee client to the power supply.

Switch on

When you switch on your Rangee client for the first time, either the login window or an empty desktop will appear.

Establishing a network connection

To establish a network connection, proceed as follows, depending on whether you want to connect via LAN cable or WLAN:

LAN connection

Restart the Rangee client via the circle symbol in the login window.

If an empty desktop has opened without logging in, open the start menu via the Rangee logo in the bottom left corner and then select "Restart".

After the restart, the login window appears.
If you would like to work with the Rangee client in your home office, now take the VPN setup now.

WLAN connection

Follow the instructions for WLAN setup and, if you want to work with the Rangee client in your home office, then complete the VPN setup afterward.

Multi-monitor operation

If you use several monitors, the right/left display may be reversed. In this case, swap the monitor connections on your Rangee client. You may need to press in a clip on the connectors to lock them (DisplayPort cable) to release the connection.
