Ban on the "new Outlook"
The use of "Outlook (new)" (or also: "The new Outlook/Outlook for Windows") under Windows & MacOS as well as the app version on the mobile device are prohibited.
The use of the previous version "Outlook (classic)" and "Outlook Web Access / Outlook on the web (OWA)" is still possible.
What kind of risk exists:
The "Outlook (new)" program transfers the access data of all accounts set up to the Microsoft Cloud. Microsoft uses this access data to retrieve and store information about the accounts set up from the mail servers, in particular at RPTU - this includes all emails, calendars and contacts. The scope of access and further processing of the data is documented in the Outlook terms of use and takes place. The RHRZ has no influence on this process.
In short, this means that access data (to RPTU accounts & former Uni-Landau accounts) and possibly sensitive data are passed on to third parties.

What users must do:
The "Outlook (new)" must not be activated or used.
If you are already using "Outlook (new)", you must uninstall the program and then change your password for your RPTU account and, if applicable, your Uni-Landau account.
What IT administrators need to do:
IT administrators must block the automatic migration to "Outlook (new)".

ATTENTION:
The new Outlook will soon be deleted by central rules (GPOs) on all end devices that are connected to the central Active Directory.
