Important information for all editors with websites below www.uni-kl.de/, www.disc.uni-kl.de, www.mpa.uni-kl.de (t3_tu)
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
There have been misunderstandings about when and where the editors of the main installation should prepare their pages for the relaunch. For this reason, editors have already made extensive changes to the (old) live system for the relaunch this week and last week, while the web team has already been working on the actual relaunch system. The backend of the TU installation is now temporarily closed to editors to prevent future misunderstandings.
Important: To ensure that the work of several editors was not completely in vain, we have decided to go "back to start" with the work of the web team. As soon as the work of the editors can begin, we will inform you (see note point 2). Please bear in mind that changes to the (old) live system will have to be updated in the future relaunch system once the conversion work has begun.
This results in the following schedule for the conversion, the editorial work and the actual relaunch:
- Renewed clone of the TU installation: 08.03.2018
- Conversion work on the clone by the web team: 08.03.2018 until at least 26.03.2018
- Conversion work on the clone by the editors: from 26.03.2018 at the earliest until 09.05.2018
- Relaunch of the TU installation: 25.05.2018 at the earliest
Notes:
- All editors are requested to attend an appropriate Typo3 training course. https://event. uni-kl.de/rhrk training dates will be added on an ongoing basis and offered throughout the year.
- All decision-makers and editors should register on the typo3redakteure(at)uni-kl.de mailing list. It's very easy with the form on this page: https: //www.rhrk.uni-kl.de/internetdienste/www-dienste/ All relevant information regarding the relaunch will be published here.
- Editors receive technical support preferably by email to webteam(at)rhrk.uni-kl.de
- Your editors will receive a constructive exchange in our monthly web café. The next date will be announced via the mailing list.
With kind regards
Joachim Götze
