[ t3_tu ] Concretization of the changeover to self-administration

From confusion to more order

Dear Typo3 editors of the main installation and especially dear cost center managers of the administration and the scientific institutions ,

First of all: this message is for editors whose website URL begins as follows:

https://rptu.de
https://zidis.rptu.de
https://fernstudium.rptu.de
https://zhdl.rptu.de
https://zepf.rptu.de

The changeover has caused you some excitement and this was due to the fact that we unknowingly provided you with incomplete information. Sorry! But we'll make up for it now:

Please note that editorial accounts for TYPO3 must always be assigned to the cost center of the head of department or the head of the academic institution - not to a department.

Background: In Typo3, no distinction is made between departments and the websites of a department/unit/scientific institution are assigned to a rights group with all websites.

Cost center managers: You can see in am.rz.rptu.de by the heading above the list of editorial accounts to which cost center the account has been activated for editorial access.

Somewhat confusing: The cost centre directly next to the account is the general assignment of the account to the organizational unit and can be ignored.

For a slightly easier overview, we send the current assignment between the IAM group and the rights groups in Typo3 with an email via the list of editors.

If you have any further questions or problems, please contact us at rz-typo3(at)rptu.de

Best regards

The Typo3 team
