Instructions for Overleaf CE

Description

Overleaf Community Edition (still known to many as"ShareLaTeX") is an open-source, collaborative online LaTeX editor.

Overleaf CE is available on the servers of the RHRZ to all persons with an RPTU account or a user account at another Rhineland-Palatinate university or university organized in the Rhineland-Palatinate Computer Center Alliance (RARP).

A one-time registration for the RARP Overleaf Community Edition is required for use on the RHRZ servers.

Below you will learn how to register and create your account for the RARP-Overleaf-CE service of the RHRZ.

  • RPTU account or account at another college or university of the Rhineland-Palatinate Computer Center Alliance (RARP)

Step 1: Login at RPTU's RARP services
Step 2: Register for RARP Overleaf CE service
  • Then search for the "Overleaf CE" service under "The following services are available" and select "Register".
  • Follow the instructions for registration on the next page.
Step 3: Set confirmation and password

Once registration is complete, you will receive an email to the address associated with your account.
(This may take a few minutes. Check your spam folder if necessary).

  • Click on the green "Set password" button or follow the link at the bottom of the email to set your Overleaf CE password.

 

You can now log in at https://overleaf.rarp-kl.de/ with your e-mail address and the password you have just set in the steps above.
