T3_WIWI Conversion to self-administration of editorial accounts
Together with your dean's office, we have decided to switch the Typo3 installation of the WIWI department to self-administration of editorial access by the cost center owners.
Previously , all employees of the research groups were granted editorial access via the department's AD administration.
After: With the changeover, the accounts of all editors are now entered by the cost center holders at am.rz.rptu.de.
Advantages for you:
- Own control over editorial access to your pages
- Independent of affiliation to an organizational unit
- Effective after just a few minutes
Conversion: The conversion of your Typo3 instance will take place between 7.10. and 9.10.2025 and is expected to take a few hours, during which editors will not have access to the backend.
Preparation by you: From now on, please enter the accounts of the editors at https://am.rz.rptu.de or ask your cost center managers to enter them.
To select the editorial accounts:
- all registered editors have completed our current Typo3 training courses (we reserve the right to restrict access technically in the future)
- 1-3 editors depending on the size of a website are useful. (experience→quality of the pages)
- If there are more than 1-3 editors, please provide each other with support first
- All editors have equal access to the institution's page tree
- Responsibility for different page areas is regulated by work instructions
- All editors are automatically added to the rz-typo3redakteure mailing list. It is not possible to unsubscribe.
- Future emails about incorrect links will be sent to all registered editors
