For the full functionality of your Rangee system, you need an Internet connection and, if necessary, a VPN connection to the RPTU network. Please also refer to the instructions on Rangee WLAN and Rangee VPN.

After switching on, the login dialog appears.
If the monitors on your Rangee client are not connected directly to the device but via a docking station, the monitors will only be activated after around 1 to 2 minutes. If, for example, a major update has been loaded, it may take longer for the monitors to switch on.
The Rangee logo in the bottom left-hand corner takes you to the start menu. Here you can start various FreeRDP or browser sessions, among other things.
The starters displayed may differ from the images used here.
With a FreeRDP session, you can also work remotely on servers at RPTU. The programs are executed on the server, the display and control takes place on your Rangee.
To work on the Windows remote desktop servers of the RHRZ (terminal server "ts.uni-kl.de"), select "FreeRDP" and then "Windows Terminal Server".
Always switch off your Rangee after work. This is particularly important as updates and configurations are only loaded from the central management server (TCMS) when the device is shut down/restarted. This ensures that your Rangee client is always up to date.
Before you switch off your device, log out of any running FreeRDP sessions.
Then open the start menu via the Rangee logo in the bottom left corner and select "Shutdown".
