Shutdown of outdated web server www-admin64.uni-kl.de
The outdated web server www-admin64.uni-kl.de will soon be permanently decommissioned. All hosting packages that are still running on this system must be moved to an up-to-date server.
Regular moves to the latest server are important in order to close security gaps, support modern standards and ensure stable, high-performance provision of the web offerings.
Please note: After the shutdown, websites that have not been moved beforehand will no longer be available. It will also no longer be possible to log in to the outdated server.
Anyone who has not yet made the move can of course obtain a new hosting package on our current server platform and can then set up the website directly on the current server. To do this, please tell us the previous URL of the website or the user name you used to access the server in the message field.
After the shutdown of www-admin64.uni-kl.de, files and database dumps for a new setup in the new environment can be requested until the end of the year.

General conditions for web hosting packages
For whom?
Organizational units at RPTU with cost center, student associations. The website must be clearly related to RPTU.
Purely private websites, websites for/with companies or associations, commercial websites etc. may not be hosted by us.
Costs?
None, costs may apply for a domain outside of rptu.de
Administration, technical responsibility, support?
As the operator of a website with the hosting package, you are responsible for installation, administration, updating, moving to current servers and maintenance of the website. RHRZ does not provide support for the software you have installed.
Legal?
The obligation to comply with legal requirements lies with you as the operator!
This includes
- Duty to provide an imprint
- Obligation to provide an individual privacy policy including a supplementary privacy policy for linked social media profiles
- Obtaining consent to the use of cookies and tracking of site visits
- Accessibility of the entire website incl. "Declaration on accessibility"
Simply linking to the relevant pages at RPTU.de is not sufficient! Please coordinate this with your local data protection officer or the legal department!
Security?
The security of the web servers provided is guaranteed by the RHRZ. However, you as the operator are responsible for the security of your web application! This includes in particular
- Regular updates and patches of the software used.
- Compliance with current security standards.
- Ensuring that no harmful or unsafe content is uploaded.
- Clear differentiation from the RPTU account with your own account management
RHRZ reserves the right to temporarily block the connection to the web application in the event of security incidents or misuse in order to protect the integrity of the system.
