Prerequisites
- You have an RPTU account.
- Sufficient points credit is available.
- You are connected to the university network(LAN, WLAN, VPN).
- The document to be printed consists of only one page, has the desired page size and is in PDF format.
- The completed printout must be collected from the print room (34/256) at the RHRZ in Kaiserslautern .
Start order
To upload documents for printing on the large format printers of the RHRZ Druckausgabe in Kaiserslautern, select the menu item "Large format" in the Druckausgabe web portal.
Print jobs can be created here in 2 product categories:
Printouts with a page size over DIN A3 to DIN A1 or with a page size over DIN A1 to DIN A0.
By clicking on the white bar at the bottom of the two product windows, you will receive important information on poster printing (such as permitted page size, file format: PDF, number of documents per order: 1).
Before the next step,check whether your document meets the requirements for the selected category.
Click on "Start order" to open the dialog for uploading your document.
Upload document
In the dialog box, you can either add a file using drag & drop or by clicking on "Attach file" and selecting the file in the file explorer.
A name for the print job must now be entered under "Name". If you require several copies of the same page, you can specify this in the corresponding field.
Click on the green "Send" button to submit your order.
Only upload one 1-page PDF document per order! Documents in other formats or with more than one page, as well as orders containing several documents, will not be processed.
Your document will be printed in the original output size. Subsequent scaling is not carried out by the Druckausgabe employees. (In Acrobat Reader, you can see the output size of your document by moving the mouse to the bottom left-hand corner of the application window).
The points charged for printing your poster are displayed as "Estimated costs". Always make sure that these costs are covered by your points balance.
My orders
You can view the status of your large format orders under the "My orders" tab or at the bottom of the page.
"New" means that the order has been received on the print server.
"Completed" means that the order has been completed and will soon be ready for collection.
"Cancelled" means the job has been canceled.
You will receive an e-mail notification as soon as your job has been uploaded and completed(printed or canceled!). If your order has been canceled, a note with the reasons will be added to your order. You will receive an additional e-mail notification.
The order details are displayed by selecting the relevant order.
We can usually have your printouts ready for you to collect from the print issue room (KL 34/256) within one hour of completion. You will find your poster rolled up in the baskets in the print room.
