Interaction

Typo3 offers two user interfaces , one for viewing and one for editing.

Front end

The front-end interface represents the view of a website that is displayed to visitors on the Internet when they call up the web address.

Backend

The backend interface represents the back of a website, so to speak, and not everyone has access to it, as this is where the content is created and edited, among other things.

Change

If you would like to switch from the backend to the frontend , click on the icon provided for this purpose (top left in the editing area). The frontend view will then open in a new tab. You can now see what content is already on your page. You can now switch back and forth between the two tabs and load the changes you have made in the backend into the frontend.
