Three steps to a new staff account

The way to a RPTU account for employees leads through the following three steps:

Account management

All steps are done in the RPTU account management.
To do this, log in at https://accounts.rptu.de/.
The login is done with your RPTU account name and the corresponding password.

Apply for an account

Requesting a new account must be done by someone who already has an staff account. If you are new at the RPTU, simply ask a colleague in your department to request an account for you.

After logging in to the account management, you will first be on the information page, where you can view your data.

To get an overview of the account applications, click on "Account applications" in the navigation. There you will find an overview of all current account applications. At the bottom of the page, you have the option to apply for a new account.

Selecting the button "New Account" will take you to the application form.

Account application

Fields marked with * are required.

Titel, Vorname*, Nachname*, Geburtsdatum*, Geburtsort*
(Title, first name*, last name*, date of birth*, place of birth*)
Enter the personal data of the person for whom the account is requested.

Matrikelnummer (Matriculation number)
If the new employee was previously or is currently enrolled at the RPTU, please enter the matriculation number, if known.

ehem. RHRK-Account (former RHRK account)
If the person previously had an RPTU account or an RHRK account, please provide the former account name, if known.

Organisationseinheit* (Organizational Unit*)
You can only request employee accounts for colleagues from your own organizational unit (OU). Therefore, only OUs in which you are a member are available for selection under "Organizational Unit".

Telefon, Gebäude, Raum (Phone, building, room)
If possible, enter information about the workplace of the person for whom the account is requested.

After you have filled out the form, confirm the entry by clicking on "Account beantragen" ("Apply for account").

TAN for activation

After the application has been successfully submitted, a confirmation message is displayed.

Write down the TAN displayed below and provide it to the future account holder.

He/she will need the TAN to activate his/her new staff account after the account request has been approved.

What happens next?

The approval process starts automatically. For this purpose, the request is forwarded in the account management to the responsible person in your organizational unit.

If you yourself are authorized for approving account applications in your organizational unit, you can switch directly to the approval of this application via the "Approve now" button.

Otherwise, the application for the account is completed when you have passed on the TAN and you can log out of the account management via the "Logout" tab.

Approve account request

As an approver, after an account request is submitted, you will receive an email with the request for approval.

To approve the request, first log in to RPTU Account Management.

Switch to the "Account applications" tab. There you will find an overview of all current applications.

To start the approval, click on "Work task" for the corresponding account.

Check and approve

Check the data and approve the application by clicking on "Genehmigen"(Approve).

Status of the account application

After approval, the account application will be reviewed by the RHRZ and the account will be created.

After the account has been created, it can be activated by the user with the TAN.

As an approver, you can check the status of the account creation and activation at any time in the "Ongoing account applications" overview (tab "Account applications").

 

When you have completed all tasks, log out from the account management via the "Logout" tab.

Activate account

After the account has been created by the RHRZ, you as the account holder can activate your staff account.

To do this, you will need the TAN that was generated during the application process.

Enter the TAN in the RPTU account management at https://accounts.rptu.de/tan_login and select the "Account activation" button.

You will now see the current status of your account application.

If your RPTU account has not yet been created, you cannot activate it. In this case, entering the TAN will result in a corresponding status display. The "Start activation" button is grayed out.

Start activation

Once the account has been approved and created by RHRZ, you can start the account activation by clicking on "Start activation".

Complete activation

Now you just need to accept and confirm the terms of use ("Benutzungs- und Gebührenordnung des RHRZ").

Select "I accept, activate account" to complete the activation.

After successful activation your account data will be displayed.

At this point, please write down your account name and password!
For security reasons, these cannot be displayed again.

Congratulations, you have completed your account activation.

From now on you can use your account with the displayed account name and password.

Please change your password directly in our password management at https://accounts.rptu.de/password.

With each personal RPTU account comes an email inbox!
Read the emails sent to your RPTU account or forward them to yourself. You will only receive important information about your account or services you use with it there.

My data

You can now log in to the account management with your RPTU account name and password. (Tab "Login with RPTU account").

Under "Meine Daten" ("My Data") you can see what information is stored in your account. You can also select an email alias and set a primary email address. It is best to discuss with your superiors if there are preferences in your department for using certain email addresses before making your selection.

Don't forget to log out of the account management afterwards via the "Logout" tab.
