Translate websites

TYPO3 offers powerful tools to efficiently manage and translate websites in multiple languages. The following instructions explain how to translate content either manually or automatically (using AI).

Requirements of the university management (from the 2018 relaunch)

  • All websites should be available in German and English.
  • At greater page tree depth, not all pages need to be translated into English. English content may be summarized.
  • Sites for work areas or projects in English only are permitted. There should be at least one German start page describing the institution or project and linking to the English page.

Please refer to the Unikom web guide, which is linked on our Typo3 Hub , for the current requirements.
