Description

eLabFTW is an open-source electronic lab notebook for research teams.
It is available on the RHRZ servers to anyone with an RPTU account or a user account at another Rhineland-Palatinate college or university that is organized in the Rhineland-Palatinate Computer Centre Alliance (RARP).
Registration is required for use on the RHRZ servers.
Below you will learn how to register and set your service password for the eLabFTW of the RHRZ.
Prerequisites:
- RPTU account or account at another college or university of the Rhineland-Palatinate Computer Center Alliance (RARP)
Step 1: Login at RPTU's RARP services
- First go to https://login.rarp-kl.de/.
- Select your home organization from the list and follow the instructions to log in.
Step 4: Register with eLabFTW
You can now register at https://elab.rarp-kl.de/ with your user name and the service password defined in the previous steps.
Make sure you select the "LDAP" option on the eLabFTW login page.
Administrative information
You will automatically be assigned to the default team of your home organization. If you want to be added to a specific team or need to create a new team, please contact the Computing Center (RZ) of your home organization.
Several teams can be set up. In this case, you must select which team you want to use each time you log in to eLabFTW.
If you were already registered for the RARP-eLabFTW service and your teams have changed (e.g. because teams were added later), you will need to de-register and then re-register.
To do this, go to https://login.rarp-kl.de/. Under "The following services are available", search for the "eLabFTW" service and select "Registry info". Then click on "Deregister".
Now register again and set your service password as described under "Step 2: Register for eLabFTW service" and "Step 3: Set service password" so that your team membership is updated.
